Discover an easy and convenient way to stay on track with your wellness goals through Appetite Balance & Weight Support Strips. Each strip combines a thoughtful blend of Saffron Extract, Chromium, and Molybdenum to support balanced nutrition and overall well-being. Designed for adults who follow a healthy, active lifestyle, these strips dissolve quickly on the tongue for an effortless, on-the-go option.

Saffron (Crocus sativus) has been traditionally used in wellness practices and is recognized for its role in supporting balance as part of daily routines. Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels already within the normal range, while Molybdenum supports essential enzyme activity in the body. Together, these ingredients provide gentle support for those looking to complement their nutrition and lifestyle habits.

Simply place one oral strip on your tongue and allow it to dissolve before swallowing. Take one strip anytime during the day, up to a maximum of one strip daily. With a light, refreshing format, Appetite Balance & Weight Support Strips make it easy to complement a health-conscious and active lifestyle with a convenient daily routine.

Science Facts

Chromium Effects on Glucose Tolerance and Insulin Sensitivity in Persons at Risk for Diabetes Mellitus

This rigorously designed, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial enrolled 59 adults with impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance, or metabolic syndrome — precisely the population where chromium might be expected to work — and tested 500 mcg and 1,000 mcg of chromium picolinate daily for 6 months. Neither dose produced any significant changes in fasting plasma glucose, 2-hour glucose during oral glucose tolerance testing, fasting or 2-hour insulin, HOMA-IR, HbA1c, body weight, waist circumference, BMI, or blood pressure compared to placebo. The authors concluded that chromium supplementation does not ameliorate insulin resistance or impaired glucose metabolism and is unlikely to attenuate diabetes risk — an important finding directly relevant to this supplement's blood sugar and weight loss claims.

Satiety Effect of a Saffron Extract in Mildly Overweight Women

This double-blind, placebo-controlled RCT in 60 mildly overweight healthy women administered 176.5 mg of standardized saffron extract or placebo twice daily for 8 weeks. The saffron group showed a significantly greater reduction in snacking frequency (p<0.05) and a greater tendency toward satiety compared to placebo, alongside a significantly greater reduction in body weight. The proposed mechanism involves saffron's bioactive compound safranal acting on serotonergic pathways to reduce emotional/hedonic snacking — an effect on appetite behaviour rather than metabolism. This is one of the most-cited direct human trials supporting saffron for appetite balance, though it used a substantially higher dose than the 10 mg in this supplement.

Impact of Crocus sativus L. on Metabolic Profile in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus or Metabolic Syndrome: A Systematic Review

This PRISMA-guided systematic review of 14 RCTs specifically in patients with diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, or prediabetes assessed saffron's effects on fasting blood glucose (FBG), HbA1c, and lipid markers. Of the higher-quality studies meeting strict dietary and activity assessment standards, three demonstrated significant reductions in FBG with saffron or crocin supplementation versus placebo. One study also showed a significant reduction in HbA1c. However, the review is candid that most available studies are of poor methodological quality, results on lipid profiles are inconsistent, and heterogeneity in doses (ranging from 15–100 mg/day) makes it difficult to draw firm conclusions. The authors conclude there may be a favorable effect of saffron on fasting blood glucose, but further high-quality research is needed.

Molybdenum's Role as an Essential Element in Enzymes Catabolizing Redox Reactions: A Review

This review establishes the biochemical essentiality of molybdenum as a cofactor in four key human enzymes: xanthine oxidase (purine metabolism and ROS generation), aldehyde oxidase (drug and xenobiotic metabolism), sulfite oxidase (sulfur amino acid degradation, critical for brain protection), and the recently discovered mitochondrial amidoxime-reducing component (detoxification of N-hydroxylated compounds). True nutritional molybdenum deficiency is very rare in humans eating a normal diet, and no clinical evidence links molybdenum supplementation to blood sugar regulation, appetite control, or weight loss specifically. Its primary established role is enzyme cofactor function, and the 10 mcg dose in this supplement falls within the safe, physiological range. The glycinate chelate form is not specifically indexed in PubMed clinical trials.
